Lost Lands is bass music’s epic new prehistoric dubstep festival located in Ohio. Last year’s first time festival was legendary with the most ridiculous heavy bass lineup ever to be released. With Excision playing every night he tops it off with a special back to back set with his main man Datsik from Firepower. With erupting volcanoes & life sized dinosaurs roaming the grounds, this energy is unleashed by thousands of raging bassheads headbanging on every rail in site. Thank you, Champagne Drip is just my little corner in the world of music where I discover what sounds good to me and moves me. I’m lucky to be able to share it to the world.
As you send humans on this beautiful journey with your music, what is your intention when you create eye opening experimental bass music?
My intention when I write is ultimately to move myself and other people. Since we are all woven of the same cloth, this approach has been working but I also think there’s a lot of luck involved!
What is it like releasing heavy bass music underneath Liquid Stranger’s record label Wakaan?
It’s been super fun. The whole Wakaan roster has been super kind and welcoming, it’s like a family.
What was your transition from Drum & Bass to heavier bass music like?
That transition was really hard because my heart fell in love with Dubstep but my Drum & Bass fans often rejected it. Eventually, everything worked out for the best but it was difficult at first. It seemed to go well for those who changed their name and created a separation between the two. I might have just confused people a little.
The album ‘Obelisk’ feels like it‘s sending us through an energy portal into the world of Wakaan, what was your vision or motive behind your new album ‘Obelisk’?
The EP is a collection of tracks that really work together. I didn’t set out to achieve anything besides make a lot of music that I didn’t think totally sucked.
Liquid Stranger requires little introduction as one of electronic music’s most intriguing and
inspiring artists. Nevertheless, this Swedish beatmaker Martin Staaf – aka the man behind the music – earned his place in the spotlight thanks to his ability to not only push the boundaries of electronic music. Certainly treating fans to more of his production wizardry, Liquid
Stranger now releases new single Gunslinger ft. Pistol on his label WAKAAN.
Gunslinger ft. Pistol will satisfy the cravings of many a bass fan this summer, as Liquid Stranger’s
extraordinary sound design is showcased with effortless appeal. Amongst the hefty drum hits and
shuddering, club-ready basslines, there lies a certain kind of rapture that makes Martin’s music so
captivating, each and every time. Therefore, Gunslinger ft. Pistol is primed and ready to blast the roof off – but it’s Liquid Stranger’s attention to detail that makes this track a true weapon.
Hailed as a pioneer within his chosen field, Liquid Stranger’s unique sound has opened doors and
broken down barriers, inviting fellow artists and fans alike to embark on a journey of boundless
discovery amongst the murky shrouds of experimental bass music. Championing the weird, the
wonderful and the truly creative, Liquid Stranger and his label WAKAAN stand at the very
forefront of electronic innovation. Stay tuned and ready for the producer’s next moves this year, as
he moves towards a full EP for the fall, plus an even bigger release which marks his largest body
of work to date.

Good Lord, Lev3L continues to blow our mind with this heavy bass style & new tune Nightstalker. This nasty track that will rip your face off with intense dubstep & riddim elements. Lev3l is taking his production skills & sound design to a professional level. His powerful sounds punish your puny brain as he shakes your cranium viciously. This track has a beautiful lead that dropz you right into his hard hitting signature stomp bass. We dare you to play his Doom release that Figure released because it will destroy your world & make you rethink life. His good buddy Sweettooth is making major waves as well, playing bigger shows such as Bassrush Massive. Their b2b sets make bassheads drop to their knees & contemplate who their favorite artist is. If you don’t know about Lev3L by now, you’re missing out on an entire field of heavy dubstep music. He recently played for our Yacht Party called Shipwreck, in which he destroyed the entire boat making everyone’s face permanently disfigured. We’re very proud of Lev3l & all the hard work he has put in so far. Nothing beats being recognized & he is definitely on the radar for good. He has been making solid music for quite some time but has recently seen he light at the end of the tunnel.
So many producers have been striving to find that signature style & sound that makes them unique. Lev3l consistently delivers his own style in each track he produces, making it his very own. After developing his signature sound he had to find a way to make it relevant & bang on a live sound system. So far, artists such as Funtcase, Dubloadz, & other heavy railbreakers have been putting this upcoming producer in their set list. Not many can produce like him, & nobody even comes close to sounding like him so. Expect big things & hard hitting bass tracks from this Dubstep demon.
